0 Hamiltonian structure and gauge symmetries of Poincaré gauge theory ∗
This is a review of the constrained dynamical structure of Poincaré gauge theory which concentrates on the basic canonical and gauge properties of the theory, including the identification of constraints, gauge symmetries and conservation laws. As an interesting example of the general approach we discuss the teleparallel formulation of general relativity.
متن کاملQ-structure of Conformal Field Theory with Gauge Symmetries
Introduction It is well-known that abelian conformal eld theory has rich arithmetic structure (see, for example [DKK], [KSU1], [KSU2], [KUS3]). It is natural to ask whether this is also the case for no-abelian conformal eld theory. For the rst step to study arithmetic properties of non-abelian conformal eld theory, in the present notes we shall study the eld of de nition of conformal eld theory...
متن کاملGauge symmetries and structure of proteins
We discuss the gauge field theory approach to protein structure study, which allows a natural way to introduce collective degrees of freedom and nonlinear topological structures. Local symmetry of proteins and its breaking in the medium is considered, what allows to derive Abelian Higgs model of protein backbone, correct folding of which is defined by gauge symmetry breaking due hydrophobic for...
متن کاملGalilean noncommutative gauge theory: symmetries & vortices
Noncommutative Chern-Simons gauge theory coupled to nonrelativistic scalars or spinors is shown to admit the “exotic” two-parameter-centrally extended Galilean symmetry, realized in a unique way consistent with the Seiberg-Witten map. Nontopological spinor vortices and topological external-field vortices are constructed by reducing the problem to previously solved self-dual equations.
متن کاملGauge formulation of general relativity using conformal and spin symmetries.
The gauge symmetry inherent in Maxwell's electromagnetics has a profound impact on modern physics. Following the successful quantization of electromagnetics and other higher order gauge field theories, the gauge principle has been applied in various forms to quantize gravity. A notable development in this direction is loop quantum gravity based on the spin-gauge treatment. This paper considers ...
